Chat privacy notice

The automated assistant is designed for general questions about Mark’s tutoring. Please do not enter payment details, account passwords, private contact information, medical information, or sensitive student records.

What is stored

The application may store the conversation text, selected language, an anonymous session identifier, feedback, page source, timestamps, and technical response metadata such as model name, token counts, latency, fallback use, and error codes. Email addresses and telephone-like values are redacted before transcript storage where detected.

Why it is used

Conversation records help answer the current question, maintain short conversational context, diagnose failures, evaluate answer quality, and improve the approved chatbot knowledge. Knowledge changes are reviewed by an administrator before publication and are not learned automatically from visitor messages.

AI provider processing

When AI assistance is available, the visitor’s message and selected approved context are sent to the configured OpenAI-compatible provider to generate a response. Operational error monitoring, when enabled, is configured not to send request bodies, cookies, or authorization headers.

Site analytics

When Google Analytics is enabled, pages load the Google tag and send page-view and technical usage information to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google Signals, and personalized-advertising signals are disabled by the site configuration. Google Analytics may still use first-party analytics cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. The analytics tag is not loaded when the site’s GA4 measurement ID is left empty.

Retention

Chat sessions are configured for deletion after 60 days. Temporary clarification state and rate-limit data may be held in Redis for shorter periods. Operational platform logs may have separate retention controlled by the hosting provider.

Choices and booking

You can use the public site without opening the chatbot. Current prices, availability, booking, payments, and Preply account activity are handled by Preply under its own terms and privacy practices. For tutoring or data questions, use Mark’s Preply profile.
